Slapshock goes International
The Dubai Desert Rock Fest 2008 has been a big break for Slapshock's international career. Aside from having the chance to a loud performance together with other well-known international rock stars, it was in that concert that they got the attention of the International Record Label - I'm not sure though if its the name of the record label because according to Phil. Star, its CSM. But the band has signed a contract for the said label.
“The album will be our sixth,” the members say. “We’ve done five albums — or two a year — in 10 years. This time, our new album under CSM will be an all-original work which will carry a Pinoy flavor because it will have Tagalog songs. We expect to launch it in Dubai on June 12, in time for the celebration of Philippine Independence Day.”

The band has been with EMI Philippines until last year. Recollection was their last album under the said company. After which, they will soon to rock the international rock scene with their new recording company. This will be another Filipino pride which must be given credit or must be honored to just as how we, and the government as well, honor the boxing titles won by Pacquiao and other Filipino boxers.
