David's Tea House

It was my first time at David's Tea House at Sm City Iloilo. Pol left me there for a while so I said he should leave me at a hot spot (wifi) area. So its David's Tea House. Looking at their poster outside, their food is expensive, at least for us. So we decided to have a buffet dinner for PhP180 per person - without drinks. Their canned softdrinks costs PhP44 each. So he left me there and went to Bakhaw. So I just did some of my bookmarking tasks there, lol.

When he came back, we enjoyed the food. Haven't took photos of somefoods - its a bit embarassing ya know. .lol

Their foods were good that I was so full when we left the restaurant. Even up to now, I can still feel the foods in my stomach and it was 5 hours ago since we left the place. So all in all, the foods were worth the expenses.

Cashew Nougat

Holy week is a time of penitence for most catholics. . Vacation or taking a break off a heavy schedule for some. . and time to come home for others just like me (though I really come home every weekends) who live miles away from home.

It is during these times when Ma. Shiela Ola takes a vacation off her hometown at Palawan. The thing is, she never forgets to bring us Cashew nougat as pasalubong. It might just be a Cashew Nougat, but its from Palawan. . and from Shiela.Ü I just feel grateful for her and appreciate her thought.

Next time naman Shie. .heheh

j a v a !

It started from the KFC Chicken Barbecue Meal. I loved java rice from then on. But the meal is no longer available at KFC. Its just recently that I remembered of searching for the recipe of java rice:

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups cooked rice

3 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1/4 cup chopped onions

1/4 cup chopped bell pepper

1/4 cup tomato ketchup

PROCEDURE:

Heat oil in a frying pan.

Saute garlic, onions, and bell pepper until onions are transparent.

Add rice and mix well.

Add ketchup and continue stirring until well blended.

I haven't tried it yet but it looks simple. I thought there was some food coloring that makes it yellow. From the looks of it, I have thought of the java rice in Kenny Roger's - with the bell pepper in it. Thinking of this recipe, makes me want to eat at Kenny Roger's. . .

It's gotta be SHAKEY'S

fresh lumpia from MERBEN. . .yipee! No longer fresh when I ate it coz I was so full with my breakfast at JD. .then the lunch at Shakey's. .whoa! I felt like my tummy's gonna burst!

I just put the rice there after I finished the pasta. . .I didn't have a double order. I even shared my pizza with shella.:D I/We wanted to have an Ala Mode but our stomach could no longer contain it.

We were supposed to buy Generick a gift. That's the sole reason why we went strolling at the mall. T'was really hard to find a PhP300 --that means, PhP100 for each of us-- worth of birthday gift for a man. We have bought something for ourselves already and yet, we couldn't find something for him. We tried, we really did.nyeheheh Then, food trip has always been our trip, and we went to Shakey's. The food was great. . .and the waiter, too. We'll come back for you, Cyril. nyahahah

We have heard stories about Shakey's keeping their customers wait long for their orders. But we didn't. It may depend on the food ordered. :D

pigged out

Andie "Magni" Mingoy: Ely Buendia fanatic, rocker, and a good lover?hmm. .heheheh peace man! I regard him as my "idol" \m/

Andie turned 23 last oct 07 (i guess) and it was never late to celebrate. :) shared good food, stories, and great time last saturday. A big thanks to him, we surely appreciated the thought.

With grazey's newly-acquired freedom, its like being back to the old "us" . . . and our first and common love? FOOD! While waiting for mishall, we pigged out at sbarro, a cool way to strengthen the bond (works for us).

Wanting to spend time together and do some laugh amidst the stress and lack of sleep, we went for a movie treat: Apat dapat, dapat apat.
